In June 2021, our new Principal was announced. We wish to welcome Ms Michelle Gomes to Glenfield Park School.
In a letter to Parents and Carers, Dace Elletson, Director Educational Leadership, Glenfield Principals Network said: “I wish to announce that Ms Michelle Gomes has been selected as the substantive Principal of Glenfield Park School. Ms Gomes has accepted the position as an outcome of a recent merit selection process.
Michelle is an experienced, knowledgeable and impactful Principal and has been leading Bridge Road School for the past six years. Michelle has the proven ability to improve learning outcomes, build the capacity of staff, innovate and inspire, and drive confidence in the community.
At all stages of the selection process, the panel were extremely impressed with Michelle’s leadership, care of students, staff and the community, and her passion for public education.
In welcoming Michelle, I also thank Ms Danelle Warren for her dedication and commitment to students and staff as relieving, and then acting Principal of Glenfield Park School. Danelle has undertaken the role with total professionalism and has led the staff and community extremely well.
I encourage you to take the time to thank Danelle for her strength and leadership when you next see her. I look forward to working alongside Danelle in the coming months and years in her capacity as Deputy Principal. I thank you for your patience as we have recruited this very important position.
