Wellbeing

At our school, student wellbeing and learning go hand in hand. We want every student to feel safe, included and ready to learn. Whether your child needs help with their mental, emotional, social or physical wellbeing, we are here to help them thrive at school and in daily life.

How we support student wellbeing

Supporting each student’s mental, emotional, social and physical wellbeing is part of everyday school life.

We do this through:

Open Parachute

Open Parachute is a school-wide program that helps schools implement innovative wellbeing initiatives for students. The programs are designed by a team of clinical psychologists and educators, ensuring that the type of support typically offered to only a few students in a therapy setting is now translated into easily accessible learning activities for every student in the classroom.

Open Parachute is aligned with the ACARA curriculum guidelines, covering Health and Physical Education (HPE) learning outcomes from Kindergarten through to Year 12, as well as the General Capabilities of Critical and Creative Thinking, Personal and Social Capability, Ethical Understanding, and Intercultural Understanding.

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

These skills are essential for developing resilience and the personal attributes needed to build positive relationships. Students learn to talk about challenges, build self-esteem, make responsible decisions, and handle difficult situations. They also have opportunities to learn and practice social skills such as managing stress, setting goals, and planning for the future.
