Learning for life
At Glenfield Park School, every student has a personalised Behaviour Management Plan, Risk Assessment, and Crisis Plan. These plans are developed collaboratively, reviewed each term (or as needed), and shared with all staff to ensure consistency and safety across the school. It is essential that all staff are familiar with each student’s individual needs and the most effective strategies for supporting them.
Our school operates on a Cognitive Behavioural Model, focusing on teaching and reinforcing positive behaviours through understanding thoughts, emotions, and actions. Students participate daily in structured social skills and behaviour programs, which are closely linked to Character Strengths and Trauma-Informed Practice.
In addition, each student has an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) that supports their unique learning goals. These plans are regularly evaluated and reviewed in collaboration with families and staff each term to ensure progress and success.
